I know no one who hates Jews when Israel is not involved, as it isn't between most people who live in the USA. Mel Gibson's outburst was a shocker unlike anything I can remember......ever.

This is a remarkable statement. Either you believe that anti-semitism didn't exist prior to 1948, or you think it somehow simply disappeared after WWII or at some time that I'm not aware of.

1948? I'm talking about my personal experience in my lifetime, I wasn't around in 1948. I've never heard an anti-Jewish slur and can't recall a previous Mel Gibson-type outburst other than the recent Mel outburst. I'm not talking about conditions in the world in WW2. A lot has changed since then :-)

But if Israel didn't exist, anti-semites would find other "reasons" to "rationalize" their views--they always have.

Nobody I know.

This really is my last reply, I don't have time for this.

We'll see!

Elroy is a moron. Enuff said. He has never shown himself to be an anti-semite but he is one hell of a jew baiter. His purpose in life is to be one of those annoying gnats buzzing around ones ear. One day, he will get swatted but good.
