This is not a John Kerry thread and bashing him swift-boatedly is something you need to take to other threads.

Please cease and desist from bashing Kerry and keep to the title of this thread. You are welcome to discuss the Kerry candidacy for 2008.

Thanks

OT response to JT: Correction on your inaccurate post.

Kerry was in Vietnam for more than six months, after more than a year of training. Four months of which was almost constant combat. In fact, any single day on the Mekong in a riverboat, or in Cambodia would put hair on any young man's chest. But try 120 days of hell. It may not seem like much but Kerry went through hell, came out the other end and excelled along the way. That's why he won all the medals, because he did an amazing job. He got injured three times in combat so he had the chance to go home and he took it. Replaced by John O'Neill who immediately went to Cambodia where Kerry had just been, contrary to one of his dozens of smearvet lies.

Kerry would also do an amazing job as commander in chief if we're lucky enough to get him. Contrast to Bush, the most inept and out-of-it commander in chief in US history. And notice Bush still doesn't do diplomacy. Nowhere in his so-called "plan" (which even Brownback rejects now) did he mention any diplomacy. All just using our troops to try and intimidate and bust in doors, and that won't work. In fact it hasn't worked for three years. It just attracts people who hate us to come to Iraq and practice trying to kill US soldiers.

Barack Obama made it clear tonight that the senate and congress both plan to oppose Bush strenuously to protect our troops and bring an end to Bush's mad abuse of power.
