I was amused to hear that the new CA health "plan" will be funded in part by a new tax on doctors and hospitals. Health care is too expensive. Let's artificially increase their costs.

a lot depends on what 'shop' is <g>. In my case, it would be a retirement "shop" - after another few (hectic) years. Just a few ideas that pop up... Lifestyle in better parts of Buenos Aires seems very attractive. I know about some people (friends of friends) who moved to Thailand - but imo this is (in more than one way) too far out... and I resent the (literally) stinky infrastructure. I'll spend next week in north western Costa Rica - flying into Liberia. Will write a brief report, if anyone is interested. If anyone can think about any "must do's", I'd appreciate that. Of course, no world shattering political news will come from there.... :)
