I'm not an anti-semite. The charge of antisemitism is the last refuge of a Zionist without an argument. It's slung so frequently it really carries no weight anymore. My statement was that Israel benefits the most from American's hating Moslems - which is undeniable. It's in Israel's national interest to have as many Americans hating and fearing Moslems as possible. I didn't say all Americans hate Moslems - but many DO, and you can find scores of them on Lindybill's Church of W and the PGWB thread. I think Israel has a right to exist, behind the Green Line. It should return all settlements intact as reparations for the original land theft, but the deed is done. Support for Israel ranks with supporting the Nationalist Chinese as a long term bonehead foreign policy for the ages. It made SOME sense during the Cold War. The US should quit taking Israel's side constantly and just stay OUT of it - including not paying them billions a year, HALF our foreign aid budget. We are the ONLY ones that have any leverage on Israel at all. They have hundreds of nukes and are perfectly safe other than terrorist attacks. They don't NEED us anymore.
