So my dear friends that is FLYING IN AMERICA today. Lousy service, lousy federal CLERKS overexercising their authority. I wouldnt fly if YOU PAID ME

I'm headed to the midwest this summer to visit family.

I plan to drive.

Also, I am very sorry about what your wife had to endure to get on the plane. TSA has to be one of the biggest government boondoggles around.

The day from hell. You didn't need that any more than your grieving wife did.

That is a lousy flight plan, for sure! Are those all plane changes as well? How many air miles does she have to travel?

and Yikes! Surely, they didn't do a full body search on her, did they? Not just a pat down and wanding? (They do that to me always, because I'm bionic woman, and a grandma, and must look like a mean terrorist).....

Gosh........I'm so sorry for this turn of events JDN. On top of everything else, your wife must be worried sick about all of the small details she'll have to endure just to get home and be with her grieving family. Hopefully she will get a few nice seats with some room to stretch and also be able to move about a bit when she can't stand the sitting and sitting. And most of all, she will hopefully get some much needed rest on the way there. I doubt she'll get much once she arrives.

Looking on the bright side.........she will be there relatively soon thanks to all of those fast planes. In another place and time she'd be on a slow boat, and would have to endure months of traveling. If it weren't for all of those insensitive processes she'll no doubt have to endure throughout this journey, traveling by plane could be considered a miracle.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family.
