Republicans are PRO-BIRTH. They couldn't care less about the child once it's born. Republicans only want to have jurisdiction over women's bodies just as they want to have jurisdiction over what happens in other people's bedrooms. Republicans are a perverse lot which is what comes of remaining in a semi-civilized state.

Dems are generally PRO-CHOICE which is pretty much what democracies are about.

Dems are pro Choice

I've yet to meet a single person who is "pro abortion". There might be someone somewhere enjoying abortions and egging people on, but most people, most pro choice people, wish people would use birth control so they wouldn't be in the situation of making such a choice. Rather than being pro life, the republicans are anti choice- because forcing a mom to be pregnant for 9 months doesn't do much for a woman's life. Life isn't just being born. Life is also living your life- and 9 months is a freaking long time when you have something the size of a small watermelon parasitizing you, and which you have to expel through a rather small hole.

"If you're trying to show that the Republican party is just as big an abortion party as the democrats are, then you're wrong."

It's beyond me that you would even ask that question. A red herring, agitprop. It's about choice.

But since you brought the question to the table, what are the numbers for pro-choice Republicans and anti-choice Democrats? Does anyone know? Said in another way: How many Democrats would have to vote for an anti-choice bill to get an anti-choice law passed in the House?

I recall seeing various polls that claim that between 56 and 77% of Americans are pro-choice.
In 1 poll 17 states show a minority for pro-choice. 9 of those show a majority for pro-life with Louisiana and Utah at 57 and 62%.
