Where, on the other side, the stair started out normal size and went back forth, and up, getting smaller at each level? That place is cool, hard to believe he designed and built it when he was about 21 YO. I grew up about 3 blocks from where Hemingway was born. In the good old days, the Elm trees were huge, and every street was a canopy. Didn't see much sky (then came dutch elm disease).
