Yes, I agree, but we were talking about taxing INCOME not SAVINGS. So if someone earns $500K per year in income or more, I say tax them more. To raise that amount to $5 million is to protect a bunch of rich people who don't need protecting.

I can't really agree with that. Perhaps saving the money under a mattress isn't good for the economy but investing it produces returns for the economy, and putting it in savings accounts creates funds that can go to either spending or investment.
