Am I to understand that the last thing ever written by Christians was Revelations and that Christianity has never made an observation about Mohammad inspite of the fact that Islam and Christianity have shared Jerusalem on a number of occasions? I find that very odd.

It's not odd, it's just wrong. Have you searched for Catholic viewpoints on Islam and found nothing, or are you surprised that it doesn't come up on the latest episode of 24? The discussion is out there tejek, go search google.
