I don't see it. One person's frank is obviously another person's crude. I'll try to remember your standards are different than mine- but since I'm not sure exactly what was crude- hole? the melon thing? freaking? I'm probably not going to get it just right. IMO the sensitive often confuse frankness with crudity- and I would consider you sensitive. When you describe birth, it's a very...explicit process. I don't think we should be afraid to talk about it. If you advocate, as I do, allowing a woman to kill a bundle of cells that will become a living child someday, you shouldn't have a problem with describing the process of conception or birth- as long as you don't do it salaciously. IMO crudity requires either real Guccione type descriptions, or a certain amount of lasciviousness, otherwise I think you just veer in to the territory of the squeemish (not that there's anything wrong with that- I certainly won't ask you to be non-squeemish, since it doesn't really matter to me)- and that I am not, and that my family is not.

The thing I consider unacceptable is personalizing posts in a negative way. That's the only thing I really don't like on SI.
