I don't see how we can maintain a long term policy to stop these Arab states from getting Nukes as long as we take the position that it is fine for us to have them. The hypocrisy is obvious, and the fact that we don't want them to have them so that we can attack them if we want is not acceptable to them.

I think we need a national policy of being in favor of everybody getting rid of Nukes. And based on that, we say that while we are working to get the Chinese, Russians, French, etc, to agree, we will not allow anyone new to have them.

We can "unleash hell" on anyone today without using them. If Russia implodes, as they well might, the danger of Russian Muslims getting Nukes is extreme.

If we don't pursue this policy, I see no way, long term, of an American city not getting nuked.
