Bush either said he landed the plane or he flew the plane, I can't remember which. But he at least insinuated he landed it. He was on a huge ego high at the time and was really boasting. It's a day that will live in infamy considering that three years later the worst in Iraq may n ot have even happened yet, and our military is exhausted. If only Bush has spent as much time planning before the invasion as he did with his photo ops, preening and grandstanding with the troops as his stage props.
