Bush flew in 1969-1970 but by 1971 had deserted and/or been washed out. Those records are clear. He was grounded in 1971 after not showing up for his mandatory drug test. He did not show up for any training for eight months and never told anyone why. In fact he lied about it. And all the records are now missing.

After that he told the Guard he wanted out two years early and they made him do a bunch of drills and simulator training. All a waste of tax-payers money because Bush bolted for Harvard ASAP.

Also, Bush got ahead of the line for the champagne unit of the Air Guard to escape going to Vietnam. It was a way of avoiding the draft. And there is no indictation he ever had any willingness to go to Nam and actually fight.

GW Bush has not flown since 1972 until he claims he landed on the air-craft carrier to celebrate the end of the Iraq War. But that claim should be taken with a huge grain of salt.

Also, I just admitted I made a mistake and was wrong. Now it's time for every single rightwinger in the country to confess the obvious, that the smearvets were and still are totally full of crap. In fact the whole smearvets campaign was a huge hoax on the American people.

Michelle Malkin just apologized for lying about Kerry supposedly being "spurned by the troops in Iraq" when just the opposite was the case.

This is a hopeful sign. Are you willing to start apologizing too? I just did.

btw, Malkin also needs to apologize for claiming Kerry wounded himself in combat to get out of Vietnam. What a ridiculous claim that was.
