Iran was behind us after 9-11 and Bush turned them into a hostile enemy. Did you know Iran actually cooperated with us after b9-11 and there were pro-US rallies in the streets of Tehran. The squandering of goodwill by Bush is just incredible. It is clear now Bush didn't want peace, he wanted war. He felt he could swipe the Iraqi oilfields then use that as clout, while his Texas oil buddies ripped the whole deal off. Bush just never figured that cheney and the people around him were just as incompetent and foolish as he was. He thought Cheney knew something because of the Gulf War. But the men he should have been listening to her Powell and his own father, not Cheney. Cheney is a bald-faced liar. BTW, with a new more moderate president the US could patch things up with Iran. We really don't have any military option against them anyway except to bomb their oilfields or something. That would just spike gasoline prices upby a buck, which of course Bushies love.
