I know Kelly McGillis was the female lead in Top Gun. I don't care for her either. Meg Ryan played the wife of Cruise's co-pilot. She was in "Sleepless in Seattle", too. Truth is, I just don't go to movies anymore. They're all junk, filled with meaningless filthy language and implied sex. The last theatre movie I saw was "Crimson Tide". Some language, but you can tolerate that in surroundings that are believable. Having spent 4 years around a Marine Corps barracks, I've heard the language.
