Rightwingers here hailed war profiteer Hawkmoon as some kind of hero as well. Apparently profiteering from the misery of others is no longer treasonous but heroic.

Actually, I did not know that JLA was in the military, period, although I've read his posts for years.

I do know for a fact that he's a lawyer. He seems to be a good one, based on the interactions I've had with him.

Not intended to be "gallant," just a personal observation.
