"before that dolt ever admits making an error."

NOW who's a 'dolt'?

Don't be so RIDICULOUS... I admit to such all the time!

(No doubt, have done so here in plain sight beyond *dozens* of times....)

Tideglider, I just do not see the "surge" being successful. I hope I am wrong.

I thought the President looked very tentative last night. He did not seem comfortable or confident. Nor did he engender in me any feeling that he had a handle on things. I watched Fox News after the presentation and many of the commentators said the same thing.

I don't believe the Iraqis will step up. Maliki is a snake, owned by Sadr and the rest of the Shiite elite. Our interests do not dovetail with his, and never will. I hate to see the President and Secretary of State giving him so much lip service.

We will end up easing out of Baghdad, call it what you will.
