Peter, it is certainly possible to say that in May 2004 more troops on the ground made sense. Why criticize Pelosi currently for a statement which, if done at that time, might have made a difference in where we are now?

Lots of people felt backin 2003-04 that the only way we could hold the genie of sectarian violence in the bottle was to be in in strength. Not just republicans...

if Pelosi's former comments are to be pulled out of the closet, then pull out Mr. Cheney's as well. He has been far more wrong than she has been...at least so far.

The President has his surge. Let's all hope it works.

The demohacks are never satisfied... they say that 3,000 military deaths in four years is not acceptable... but apparently, 3,000 civilian deaths in two hours is okay... these demohacks are so two faced it's absolutely incredible...
