That comment shows just how CALLOUS the Democrats are. When a WOMAN can insult another woman by telling her she has no children ONLY A WOMAN realizes how PAINFUL that comment is. As a man, doesnt bother me ONE BIT if I didnt have a son, (which I do) if someone said you dont have any children but women are far more sensitive on this issue. Not only was it CALLOUS it was IDIOTIC. Rice DOES NOT make foreign policy, she merely implements it. Any FAIR MINDED person knows Rice has WORKED HER TAIL OFF (far more then Boxer EVER DID EVEN IN BED) to try and bring about peace in the middle east. jdn

Before her ascension to the thro...err, Speaker position, Pelosi was being typed as a *mother* and *grandmother* in
what seemed to me to be a rank appeal to the soccer mom contingent....

Boxer's assault on Rice is just more of the same, doncha think?

The next thing we know, Hillary will be giving us cookie recipes.<g>

Democrats sure do have a different definition of compassion than mine.

OTOH.......I don't really recall any of them saying they are a more compassionate group of individuals. I'm sure one of them somewhere, sometime must have.

Does anyone recall?

Boxer didn't think her remarks should imply that NONE of the House or Senate should be making any of the laws on Iraq unless they had children or grandchildren who were actually going to do the fighting.

Did she mean that? Heck no. She's dumb enough not to have thought for a second in front of her nose.

She wanted to be, and WAS, shockingly rude to a Secretary of State who happens to be a woman, and the first black woman in that job....ever.
