Isn't that the attitude you need to have to countenance abortion? I have long supported legal abortion. . . . Once we have taken the position of many stem-cell advocates that embryos are discardable tissue with no more intrinsic value than a hangnail or an appendix, then all barriers are down. If you think embryos are NOT discardable tissue with much intrinsic value than how can you be in favor of allowing them to be cut out and flushed down the sink? This is exactly why Pelosi and other pro-aborts are so adamant about this issue. They don't care about research; they care about making people admit embryos are intrinsically worthless.
