I predict Dems will nominate a white male in the end.
Always have, and probably will for at least 8 more years. After what the GOP was able to do with Harold Ford, even Obama's charisma won't convince the pragmatic centrists who end up deciding nominations. Obama also would have to win key primaries in states which have almost no black voters. I don't believe he can, though I do believe he would do what Jesse Jackson did 25 years ago and win southern and a few northern urban type states.
As for Hillary, I rpedict she will be the Gephardt or Lieberman of 2008, the early frontrunner with the money and famous name who gets nowhere once the voting starts.

This is bad news for Republicans because any of the top 3-4 Dem white male candidates should be able to beat anyone the Repubs have. The main reason is that McCain, Guiliani and Romney have all sided with Bush on Iraq and praised his terrible policies. That just shows they are either totally dishonest or delusional.
