Pittsburgh built a new stadium a couple of years ago on the same land where they tore down the old one, which 70 million was still owed.

I agree. Get rid of the "welfare for the rich" that such subsidies entail. While I oppose heavy taxation of the rich, I certainly don't want government money given too them just because of their political connections. If a new stadium is a good investment then why should it require public subsidy? If its not a good investment it doesn't deserve the subsidy.
