I do hate onions LOL!! Really...its not that big of a deal. My experience with Unions was different than some. I grew up in a household where my dad ran the school district. It was a GM town and a major union town. When the late 70's hit the unions didn't save their members at all. It was a terrible time for those folks. They lost homes, cars, jobs etc. etc. In addition I watched my dad work over the board of education and render the teachers Union worthless. They still got good pay - in fact better pay than they had been getting. After it was all done teachers thanked my dad for freeing them. So I grew up in a Republican home and then watched Reagan restore pride and the economy. So my experiences were such that I don't view unions as a needed entity. I respect the right for other people to support unions...I'm just not one of them. That doesn't make me bad, mean spirited or evil...its just my opinion.
