In my very early working life I had to belong to two different unions. First at Safeway, later at the Rio Grande Railroad. All either of them did was collect dues I could ill afford. After that experience I made sure what I did for a living didn't skim off the top of my wages. Taxes were bad enough.

I agree with Gloop. Can't see the need for them.
