"Then perhaps you could respond to a straight forward question: Does Iraq today pose a larger terrorist threat to the US than it did prior to the US invasion?

The potential is at least as large and possibly larger since we have some additional enganglement posed by the relationship with Iran. In both cases I am projecting into the future.

Immediatly prior to the invasion, I saw little or no threat but I saw the likelihood of Saddam to bide his time until he could acquire resources and tool up for a major war with us at a future point to be a near certainty.

Right now I see little or no threat from Iraq on a large scale but the potential for a super power war in the future is tremendous. Right now the most likely leader of such an effort is Moktada Al-Sadr but even if he were eliminated the seeds have been planted.

I realize that is more than the simple yes or no you asked for but that's the best I can do.
