"After establishing the terrible daily toll of terrorism you pull back from drawing any conclusions -- I suggest that you are unable to accept the conclusion that the US invasion of Iraq set the stage for a huge spike in terrorism in Iraq but did not in any way prevent terrorism from visiting the US."

I did draw some conclusions from your presentation. You may have missed it.

However what you are now suggesting is different than what you asked. You asked about ridding terrorism in the 'world', not Iraq. I do not know how anyone could make a valid assessment on that at this point.

I do accept that there are a great deal more terrorist acts being committed in Iraq now than there would be now if we had not invaded in 2003.

The last part... "did not in any way prevent terrorism from visiting the US.

I don't think what we are doing in Iraq is what has prevented terrorism from visiting the US.

"I suggest that there is no lack of evidence to support this conclusion, only a powerful predisposition on your part to hide from the stark reality that invading Iraq did not help us stop terrorism while unleashing an enormous surge in terrorism in Iraq. This is something you just cannot bring yourself to face -- that is my view of what you have said on this thread"

It looks like you have jumbled some things together in attribution to my views that don't fit. I have to go but will check back later.
