I have to add ,that if enough people think the fed will hike the hike becomes less necessary...its all about perception:
ps I get the feeling that many are less certain that the fed will loosen soon than a few months ago.thats good
Its about how consumers and businesses anticipate.if you expect inflation you get it.if you can keep people from expecting inflation you wont get it.
the most appealing part of this idea is that real monetary inflation ,or lack of,has less significance in applying monetary policy.
