I know things will and really are getting better. At almost 41 I guess I'd still like to take another shot at having a long lasting marriage. I made it 20 years (17 of marriage) the first time around and I was faithful and caring to my wife. My view is that this time around I want most of the same qualities my ex had but I expect the next Mrs. Gloop to be fair, rational, honest and faithful. Provided I'm the same way (and I always was) I don't think thats too much to ask. As I sit back and think about it (I've said this before) I honestly loved Mrs. Gloop more each day. I think thats about the highest compliment to commitment a person can have. I want to have another child too if at all possible. My boys can swim baby! Mark Spitz is ready to hit the pool running LOL. I guess as stupid as it may sound (after getting burned) I still believe in the institution of marriage. At heart I'm still a guy who wants to be home with his wife and kids in the evenings and on the weekend. My party days are long behind me as are the days of chasing women around a freakin bar. Sometimes I sit in church on Saturday nights and think to myself - man are you dull! Its either that or I'm older.
