Carter, Clinton, and Gore have constantly ran their mouths against the current elected administration in order to help the democrat party regain power.

Well it may be historically unprecedented (or at least uncommon) for ex-Presidents to be active in public life after leaving office, but they are entitled to express themselves, right? Not much you can do about that.

There's a lot more at stake than the failed democrat party regaining power.

Did they fail? I thought they won recently.

Israel could disappear tomorrow and the Muslim world would not change it's current instincts.

Sure, but their problems would be their problems, not ours. There is no major reason for the Muslim world to hate the USA outside of our blanket support for Israel. The USA is on the other side of the planet from them and is the #1 customer for their oil.

If the USA essentially ignored Iran, do you think they would keep yelling "Death to the Great Satan!!" just for the hell of it while we played baseball, invented the iPhone and concentrated on improving relations with China? If so, why?
