Here's an interesting report on an aspect of climate change that hadn't been discussed before -- CO2 is absorbed by the ocean, so the melting of polar ice triples the ability of the Arctic ocean to absorb CO2.

Very interesting topic, scientifically. What is the purpose of using politicians to present it? I just don't get it.

I do read up on climate change, and I do think Al Gore is a grand stander, although not out of line with Bush & WMD for example. It is the nature of politicians. However, perhaps you could suggest how to alter public opinion in the USA when faced with dunces such I referenced?

It was not a "patently obvious attempt" in so far as it was the said idiot who raised the objection to Gore's movie being in the school. If some other more reasonable individual had objected, yet the reporter ferreted out the nincompoop for a quote, I'd agree with you.

From the original post:

Hardison's e-mail to the School Board prompted board member David Larson to propose the moratorium Tuesday night.

It is funny, because it's a patently obvious attempt to discredit anybody who doesn't worship at the altar of Algorism.

If you don't believe that Algore is the Second Coming, then you're a poorly educated nincompoop.

That's pretty silly. Why did you make that up?

Contrarywise, I would suggest that, if you're interested in teaching to the topic of climate change to high school pupils, go to actual scientists rather than politicians.

BTW, Al Gore read a script.
