I just asked the husband whether it's hen-pecking to try to teach him to use a map and navigate while I am driving. He said, not hen-pecking per se, but extreme pressure.

What I have to do is pull over and stop. In which case, I may as well use the map myself.

At least he can actually orient himself on a map if the car isn't moving at all. The math whiz son still doesn't know how to use a map, and neither son has any ability to construct a mental map of where they are in relation to other places they've been.

Is spatial orientation really gender-specific?
