If you want to try him out, get "The Lieutenants," the start of the "Brotherhood of War" series. That was the best series he ever wrote. amazon.com It sounds like a put-down to say it, but the best way to describe what he writes is extremely accurate "Military Soap Opera." Amazing. webgriffin.com For someone like you, who likes the military, reading Griffin will be an experience you will really enjoy. I have read, with enjoyment, every one of his books at least three times. I can say that about no other Author. Both of my sons have done the same. You can walk into any Military barracks in this country and find them filled with his novels. Being read over and over by the owners.
