In Canada there are 4 Parties basically. The liberals who are like the Democrats, except they are in the pocket of big business. The Conservatives, who are like the Republicans except they are not in the pocket of big business as deep as the Republicans, The NDP which used to be the Union's party, but isn't anymore, and the Bloc Quebecois which just wants to secede from the rest of Canada. The leader of the Bloc is in my opinion the most honest politician in Canada.

For the last 45 years one company has had complete access to the prime ministers office. Power corp. They are the people who made Maurice Strong the man he is today. jean Chretien's daughter married into the family. Paul martin worked for them and bought his steamship company from them, Brian Mulroney and Pierre Trudeau both were on the Board of directors.

The new leader of the liberal party is a protege of jean Chretien and is I suppose tied into the Desmarais Family through Chretien.

The conservatives are both tied to the idiot right, you should see some of the nomination meetings I have been to. They also have a large group of centrist right wing members, who want an honest government for a change. Harper has failed miserably to provide that.
