As I have said in the past, best keep big business and big politics out of it. Let scientists have their say. With science though, no matter how long the B/S goes on, the truth emerges in the end. An example is the nature of light and the Michelson-Morley experiment en.wikipedia.org Unlike the Michelson Morley experiment, in the global warming case, it's getting real difficult to prove the null hypothesis, no matter how many, and how loudly, climate skeptics howl and complain. Jiggering with the data sets no longer works. No funding by oil companies can stem back the next hurricane induced floods and record tidal flows. It is possible we see a trend reversal. No sign of it yet.
