Lomborg also wrote books on gaming theory and modeling [simulations]. I don't think there's anyone that believes that Kyoto solves the problem. No one thought that the first arms treaty between the US and Soviet Union solved the problem either.

If anyone is expecting any international agreement to solve any major problem they're pretty naive about problems and/or international agreements.

Lomborg is one voice that appears to be at odds with the majority of the community. Which isn't to say he's wrong any more than everyone else is wrong, but he's one voice. There are other voices that claim the majority hasn't correctly accounted for global dimming effects and the real projections for global warming may be far worse. They're using collected data while Lomborg is sticking to statistical analysis which is his field.

Lomborg's expertise in gaming theory may give us an appropriate analogy. Whether we want to or not, we're placing a huge bet of biblical proportions on a horse race. No horse has won every time and no horse has always lost. We've consulted all the handicappers and we have to place our bet from the pits.
