There is no harm--and there is always the possibility of insight... You cannot change how someone feels, you can change how someone thinks if they are rational and willing to think about your position. But when someone just feels something is right or wrong there is no hope of changing them, because they don't think about it they feel it. If someone thinks the war is wrong, you can explain why it was necessary. But you cannot make someone think. You cannot dispute feelings with ideas. Just like those who feel that bill clinton should not have been impeached, so they hate George Bush. Bush didn't cause Clinton to be impeached, Clinton did, but they will not rest until they have impeached Bush, not because he deserves it, but to get even for clinton.
