just pretend you are making a quiche but don't put any meat in and make the crust out of a mixture of saltine and ritz crackers. Don't use as many eggs or half and half. it's kind of a tart like pie. cook the onions (Lots of them) until they are glazed then throw them in with the eggs half and half any spiced you want into an already cooked crust and cook it till it sets. it is a wonderful side dish.

The onions need to be sweet onions.
