<<Even, I would think, the crows.... They are so smart, and SO cocky! >>

A couple of years ago a cat had a dead mouse on my drive. Crow lands and walks toward the cat. Cat charges and the crow flew up and back. This happened several times until the cat chased it too far whereupon the crow flew over the cat, nabbed the mouse and took off.

I hate it when i see the results of them raiding a Robin's nest.

The poor Robins make a great deal of racket and think they will get their little baby back. By that time it is too late and the crows have had it for lunch.

In that respect I don't like them much, but that is nature.

I read an article once that says they come down to Seattle from Arlington every day to feed on garbage and then fly back at night.

My son says he sees thousands of them flying over his house every night going north.

I've not seen many birds lately. A jay landed in the plum tree a while ago....looking for water from our bird fountain......but it's frozen so he moved on.

WE had ravens in Juneau that knew which day was garbage day. They would be sitting on our lamp post waiting for the garbage truck to come by, hoping it would spill some.
