What you're doing is allowing Bush to use the troops as hostages for his policy, and his policy is to keep us stuck in Iraq until he's out of office. We shouldn't enable him.

I don't think you understand my position. If the dems cut funds bush will continue anyway , and the impossibility and failure of the mission will be blamed on the lack of funds. The dems don't have enough time to stop him anyway...some of the force is on its way there.

He clearly stated this intent on 60 Minutes when he said that he thought he already had the funds to surge the 21,000 troops into Iraq, and that he felt once the troops were in harms way, the Dems would be compelled to fund them.
