That's BS. It's The Bush WHo CRied Wolf. Bush lied. Clinton did not lie, but those remarks of his were four years old by the time Bush decided to invade, from before the 1998 bombing runs. The reason he said them was to get Republican support for a massive bombing of every suspected weapons and WMD site in Iraq. The operative word is SUSPECTED since we had no inspectors yet and no proof. So Clinton ordered a massive bombing campaign and they took them all out. 100% of the targets. Fast forward to 2002 when we forced Saddam to admit UN inspectors to look at all those sites and others. The work was proceeding at a fairly good clip. One by one the sites were cleared. No WMD. Hans Blix was becoming very sceptical there were any WMD at all. The CIA got a source inside Saddam's inner circle who told them the truth, the latest intel in late 2002 that Saddam had no more WMD. The Cheney people told the CIA to shut up, this wasn't about WMD. It was about regime change. I heard Bill Kristol one of the top Bushie neocons state on TV the day before Bush's invasion "dont be surprised if we dont find any WMD". The Bushies knew there might be no WMD but they didn't care So the lies of the Bushie right to try and cover up Bush-Cheney's deceptions continue. WHy would anyone be surprised? Liars lie. They have been lying since day one and they continue to lie. We cannot trust a word they say and neither can anyone else in the world. The Bush WHo CRied Wolf.
