9-11 happened on Bush's watch after he was warned. Clinton had nothing to do with 9-11. In fact he might very well have stopped it. His crack counter-terror team always reacted right away to Al Qaida threats. Bush did absolutely nothing to try and stop Al Qadia from attacking. Almost as if he wanted them to.

Bottomline, Bush wants to cover up one failed war with another so he can appear tougher than his father. That is what this is really all about, plus oilfields. Bush's pride. Bush's ego. Rallying the far rightwing base which McCain is also trying to do to win th South Carolina primary. Meanwhile Lieberman is intent on using US might to pound Israel's enemies. Lieberman cares more about Israel in a very hawkish way.

No sane or balanced person thinks attacking Iran will in any way help us. That said, if Iran were to attack us (as Bush if begging them to do) we would have to take action. At present, Bush is trying to pester Iran into attacking some US assets. Then use that as an excuse for another dishonest, self-destructive and illegal war that nothing good can come out of.

All this smacks very much of Vietnam. Undeniable. And look how that turned out. Weakened us for a decade afterward. Millions died for no good reason at all. And we still haven't paid off that war debt. But the Halliburtons of the world win. Maybe they are the only ones who win. Get the picture?
