Bush constantly uses the troops as stage props and tries to portray himself as "the war president", but he is the most inept war-planner in the history of the US. He also went AWOL from the Guard after dodging the draft to get out of fighting in Vietnam. Cheney, Rove, delay all the rest also draft-dodgers. The latest Military Times poll shows more soldires now disapprove of Bush's policies than approve, even though the volunteer military is more conservative politically than average Americans. In 2002, 60% of active duty servicemen said they were Republicans. The latest poll shows onily 42% were willing to admit that.
