That is certainly possible. I have known some Republicans I respected and have voted for. I like to think that the party still has some members like that, but they have been overshadowed by some of the others. And I chose to believe that the ones doing the overshadowing are not the majority. But, I could be wrong. If I am wrong, then the Republican party is due for a downward spiral because I am pretty sure the debacle known as Bush has catalyzed a swing away from the right.


I am not sure either. For me, there are several categories of Republicans: the corrupted, the evangelist ideologues, the obedient followers, and the good ones. Of the last grouping, there is only a few names that come to mind: the Congressman from AZ who was on 60 minutes; Romney from Mass, Coleman from MN, Smith from OR, Bush of FLA....I am sure there are others but its hard coming up with names. That's why I think the entire party is pretty much screwed.
