Palestinian PM: Hamas will never recognize Israel

(Well that didn't take long ...)

Hmmm, any explanation as to why the headline is about recognizing Israel, and the quote by the Hamas guy is about "the occupation" with Israel in parentheses?

Israel is viewed by the international community as occuppying parts of the West Bank seized in the 1967 war - presumably Hamas wants that land back as part of the eventual Palestinian state.

GAZA (Reuters) - Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh said on Monday the Islamist militant group Hamas would never recognize Israel.

Haniyeh, a Hamas leader, said in an interview from Gaza with Lebanese guerrilla group Hezbollah's al-Manar television: "Hamas will never recognize the legitimacy of the occupation (Israel)."

I told you not to laugh. Arabs are very sensitive. You laughed and now they took their comment back about recognizing Israel.

And if its not your fault, its Bush's fault.
