For someone who loves life you sure seem to love war. What Bush is trying to do sounds noble - and I think some of the shady stuff would be long forgiven if things had been somewhat successful. In some - maybe most - parts of the world he might have pulled it off. What occurs to me though is that as long as I can remember these insane images have been coming out of the Middle East on the news. Now having watched Iraq for the last four years I think I can safely say these people are seriously wacky at least to our western way of thinking. They do not think like westerners and most seem quite pissed off most of the time - mostly at us. Didn't the Pentagon/State Department/CIA have any $250,000/year PHD's who knew this? They must have - Bush's father never tried to go to Baghdad - to his credit. Unfortunately what Bush is trying to do is akin to trying to teach seriously schizophrenics off their meds to act and think in a linear manner. He just refuses to realize it.
