CDN passports are good for five years and are required after January 23, 2007. Do US citizens need a passport to come here? On the smaller crossings most of the US border guards are quite reasonable. I had no proof of CDN citizenship the other day and they let me cross into the States. I will get a new one next month, if I decide to do a few tours this year, it would be handy to be prepared. It would be nice to spend a few weeks in Washington, and New york away from the computer.
