Investors interested in the tar sands should buy into COS.UN, SU, CNQ, ECA, and NXY. They should avoid PBG, CLL, SOIGF, SYN, and most other start-ups.

WHY?

Because in your great wisdom you have deemed the former good and the latter bad investments. Is this the same wisdom you displayed in July:

I am just sitting on about a quarter of a million dollars in RYVNX, expecting the slide to continue. Mostly in IRAs. Those bear funds are the only way I can go short there. Not fun when the market rallies, but I think the so-called bear market of 2002 was just anticipatory, like the 1969 bear
market.

Or perhaps it is because the so called "ignorant speculators" you refer to like to discuss the latter stocks as they are less known and thus while having greater risk, also have a greater reward potential

Or perhaps it simply escapes your narrow minded thinking that one can invest in both core as well as more speculative stocks. Lets see - looking at my portfolio I own some PBG and CLL - oops, I must be an ignorant speculator. But wait - I also own COS, SU, CNQ and ECA - gosh, does that mean I am as wise as you

Quite frankly, all your whining about the oilsands thread is getting tiresome - you need to get over it and move on. As someone else suggested, if you don't like the discussion there, start your own thread - I am sure you will attract lots of followers - or maybe not. But constantly going on here about it is unproductive
