10:37 am Senator Obama scrupulously adheres to the admonition of another great American from Illinois, Adlai Stevenson:

“Let’s talk sense to the American people.”

10:51 am Oh, geez! While I like my junior senator, I don’t know if his popularity is all media hype. That he hasn’t taken a stance on certain positions, like health care, or has staked out any policy positions on battling poverty or the environment concerns me greatly. I would rather have substance than hype.

10:55 am This country does not need just another run of the mill, same as same politician with a mouth full of promises and a heart full of larceny. We need someone with the spirit, intention, and aspirations that will intelligently lead us instead of order us, as a people and nation. In my heart I feel Mr. Obama is different, and I feel hopeful that if he can stay out of the clutches of the demands of money in our current political situation, he will be a true human being.

You may joke about calling him osama, but obama's middle name is really hussein, go figure, but what's in a name? Nonetheless, the guy better not fly too high and too close to the sun, because if he enters the thin layer of the upper stratosphere where the Presidential wannabees play, he's going to burn up on re-entry, he lacks what it takes... ever since opra winfrey introduced him to the media, he's been their flavor of the month... but he won't last, he has nothing to bring to the table... the left wing secular progressives are in love with the "idea" of obama, but not with obama himself... he's going to self destruct as soon as he opens him mouth before the national press... give it time...

"think he could be elected?"

Maybe Brownback will win?

(With his new opposition to the Iraq engagement, he could be a shoe-in....)
