Two points:

Last time around MRVC IPO'd about 15% of Luminent and held on to the rest. Believe at some point they planned to distribute Luminent shares to MRVC shareholders, but that never happened).

Would expect them to do the same again so there is an established market for Luminent shares.

Not sure what I would do if MRVC IPO's and spins off Luminent. Not sure "most of the value of current MRVC is the value of Luminent". Think that is the point/question.

Sometimes Robert, it is better to monetize a subsidiary inside your company. It shows the "market" what the value of the rest of the company is. My biggest concern is timing. Mrvc has had some pretty bad timing when it comes to major events in its history. Maybe this time it will be different.
