The sub prime mortgage business is seeing a shakeout of the least efficient players.Normal business phenomenon.My biggest stake is in NFI which is a peculiar situation cos of the massive naked shorting, but I'm confident re the co. itself and its ability to pay dividends (presently over 20%) into the future.
It does raise the question of crookedness in the markets and if that ever gets addressed there could be a total loss of confidence by investors for a period of time.
